“There are some amazing things that happen when you volunteer. You learn about yourself, have fun and enjoy a renewed passion for life that gives you more purpose and meaning. Some people think that they don’t have enough time that their lives are too busy with family and work to volunteer, however, helping those people going through a tragedy can open up a whole world of time we never thought we had. Planning more carefully because of the difference you make when giving your time is well worth it. Volunteering gives me a sense of peace and strength, knowing that my few hours truly  makes someone feel better, helps someone in need and offers them a place to be away from the intense issues they are facing, even for just a little bit. I have had so many people help me, without asking anything in return, and I am grateful and thankful for those gifts and this is my way of repaying them, by helping others. To give of my time, my very valuable time is my way of saying thank you.”
